As the Algarve's capital, Faro has a real mix of housing, from older town-centre apartments to villas out toward the airport and Estoi.

A lot of Faro's older housing stock has the same cold-tile, damp-winter problem as anywhere else in the region, and the same fix works, without disrupting a property that's often still lived in day to day.
